Murphy is represented by DULCEDO Toronto and managed by Jessy Lalancette. Murphy hails from Richmond Hill, Ontario, a suburb of Toronto. She attended Unionville High School and Ryerson University. Murphy also teaches dance and is in the process of opening her own studio.
